Ally is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology and a Bachelor of Child and Youth Care from the University of Victoria. She has experience counselling in a variety of settings including schools, crisis, family violence and with groups. Her experience is predominantly with children, youth and parents.
Ally views counselling as a unique opportunity to slow down, and be curious about your life. Life moves fast, and patterns, healthy and otherwise can become an unconscious routine. Counselling is a safe space that gives you the opportunity to curate the life you deeply want to be living. She finds it a privilege to walk alongside the individuals she supports and values relationship, trust and safety as the foundation of her work. Her integrated counselling approach is strengths-based, person-centered and solution-focused, and she believes attunement with your therapist is key to effective counselling.
Ally is originally from the interior of BC and is proud of her small town roots. She has happily been calling Vancouver Island home for several years and lives here with her husband and dog. She loves exploring beaches, camping, running, and being with friends and family.
