Jackie is a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC #10005094) with a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from the University of Victoria. She is also an Advanced Teacher of the Therapeutic Benefits of Yoga (RYT-500), and draws upon this training in her work with clients. She has experience counselling individuals and groups in a variety of settings including schools, non-profit organizations, government and online. She is trained in Emotion-Focused Family Therapy (EFFT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (TF-CBT). She is registered with the Crime Victim Assistance Program (CVAP) and the First Nations Health Authority (FNHA). Her counselling style is collaborative, compassionate and client-centered.


Jackie believes that healing is possible for all of us, and that it’s never too late to have a good childhood. She sees counselling as a safe container in which to express and process emotions, practice and integrate skills, and befriend the body. She acknowledges the innate goodness and resilience of the people beside whom she is privileged to walk on their path to wellness.   

Jackie has lived on Vancouver Island for most of her life, and considers herself a coastal soul. She loves exploring beaches, forest trails, walking her dog Splash, and spending quality time with her husband and two sons.
