ADULTS, COUPLES & FAMILY

Alyssa Vincent

Alyssa has a Master of Science in Clinical Counselling with an emphasis in somatic and trauma therapy. She offers therapy that honours both the science of the nervous system and the wisdom of the body. Her approach is trauma-informed, neurodivergent-affirming, and integrative, drawing from Somatic therapy, Polyvagal Theory, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Attachment Theory, Existential therapy, and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) skills. Alyssa also integrates Brainspotting, a gentle yet powerful brain-body therapy that uses specific eye positions to access and process stored emotional and physical trauma, supporting the nervous system’s natural capacity to heal. Alongside these modalities, Alyssa brings creative and experiential approaches such as therapeutic art, mindfulness, and nature-based practices into sessions.

Alyssa has supported a diverse range of clients, including children, youth, adults and those navigating addictions and substance use, members of the 2SLGBTQI+ community, individuals living with disabilities and chronic pain, and people who identify as neurodivergent. Her approach moves beyond traditional talk therapy, offering a warm, non-judgmental, collaborative, and embodied process that meets each person exactly where they are. Sessions may include somatic exploration, creative expression, mindfulness, or nature-based reflection, all guided at a pace that feels safe, supportive, and attuned to your needs. Alyssa believes counselling is a space to find balance between life’s challenges and moments of joy, creativity, curiosity, and connection, allowing healing to unfold in both gentle and empowering ways.

Outside of counselling, you can find Alyssa painting, practicing qigong at the beach, growing herbs and vegetables, reading astrology charts, and experimenting with new recipes!
